Your relationship with your PC should be a lot like your relationship with your car (or since this is Alabama your truck). Your PC will give you years of dependable and pleasurable service if you do the few basic things needed to maintain it.

You wouldn't drive your car without insurance or without regular oil changes and you probably wouldn't park it on the side of the road with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition. But surprisingly many people do things that are just as harmful to their PC.
